Who We Are
We are Valhalla Island Campground, a seasonal campground located in Slayton, Minnesota right on the shores of beautiful Lake Shetek! We strive to provide the best service, experience, and camping environment to everyone that we serve.
Every seasonal campsite lot comes set up with 50 Amp Power, Water & Sewer Hookups. The campground features a boat dock with direct lake access, a sandy beach, Free WiFi, Golf Cart Parking, and ease of use through an online payment and management system!
Our amazing campers are our focus — they create the fun-loving environment we all know and love. We are proud to be part of the Slayton community and look forward to welcoming you home every season.

Campground Rules
- Quiet hours are observed from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM
- All guests must register at the office upon arrival
- Pets are welcome and must be kept on a leash at all times
- Speed limit throughout the campground is 5 MPH
- Campfires must be attended at all times and fully extinguished before leaving
- Respect your neighbors — keep noise to a reasonable level at all times
- Trash must be disposed of in designated receptacles
- Structural additions (decks, firepits, landscaping) require a permit — see Forms page
